Scouts start small but think big, always challenging themselves to do more and be more. It starts with an award. Who knows where it might lead?

Volunteer

All of our leaders are trained volunteers. Some lead the Troop week in and week out. Others visit occasionally to help run a session or drop in to share their skills.

Due to our active programme, we often meet outside of these times as well.

Eric has been recognised for his resilient attitude after being diagnosed with a painful health condition.

Eric Burrows rubbed shoulders with scouting ambassadors Bear Gylls and Ellie Simmonds during an event to celebrate his meritorious conduct award.

All the leaders are so proud of what he has achieved. He acts as an inspiration for all the youth members.

Scout organises Fun Run to raise money for new HQ

A young scout is organising a virtual sponsored fun run.

Adam Warren, 10, is organising a virtual, sponsored fun run for 2nd Stamford Scout Group members and their families.

The scout group is raising funds to build a new headquarters in Empingham Road, which will act as a community hub for existing groups to thrive and new groups to form.
